WeTaste caters for most diets. Recipes and ingredients are tagged with compatible diets so all you have to do is select the diet combinations to customise your WeTaste experience. So, for example if you want to eat vegetarian and low in saturated fat you would check the "Vegetarian" and "Low in Saturated Fat" options to browse those recipes and ingredients. If you leave all options unchecked you will be able to see results for all diets when browsing.

Pescetarian
Allows all ingredients except for meat. Fish and seafood are important sources of protein as well as foods that are also vegetarian or vegan

Vegetarian
Excludes meat and fish. Eggs and cheese are allowed

Vegan
No animal products. Plant based foods only. Beans, legumes and pulses are important sources of protein and fibre.

Low Carb
Some nutritionists advocate a diet that is low in carbohydrates such as starch and sugars. It is also important as we age to make sure we consume plenty of protein. Avoid pasta, rice, and starchy veg!

Gluten Free
Look for the GF symbol in supermarkets and restaurants to avoid foods containing gluten if you are gluten intolerant. A recipe in WeTaste with this tag can be made with GF ingredients but always check the label!

Low in Saturates
Although fat in the diet is generally considered less harmful than sugar, many health professionals still warn of the dangers of saturated fat for heart health.
